Cinnamon Sugar & Coco Sourdough Bread Recipe
Follow my Sourdough Bread recipe here, for everything up-to shaping your dough. Below I'll share how I turn it into sweet treat for my family to enjoy!
- Stretch your dough across your counter as much as you can without causing rips or holes. Shake coconut sugar, cinnamon and cocoa on entire square dough. Fold over one time into a letter. Shake more coconut sugar, cinnamon and cocoa. Fold over one more letter fold and shake more coconut sugar, cinnamon and cocoa. Now start from bottom of rectangle you’ve created and fold up tight from bottom to top and shape your dough!
- Grab two proofing baskets (or a wicker basket and linen towel) and place sourdough upside down in them
- Turn oven on to 475 with Dutch oven in it to preheat
- Place dough in proofing boxes back in your “proofing box” for 1 hour while Dutch oven is heating in oven. Your Dutch oven very hot before dough goes in makes the best crunch with your bread
- Place parchment paper on counter with a small amount of flour dump one loaf on it score your bread (use a razor blade to do this)
- Place dough into Dutch oven with lid on for 25 min and 15 min with lid off
- Remove sourdough from oven and place on counter to cool
- Let dough sit for at least 30 min before cutting into it!
